Margaret Sweeney graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a B.S. in Graphic Design.
Throughout her advertising career Margaret has always painted in her spare time. Twenty years ago she decided to quit the day job and paint full time. She has never looked back.
Before painting dogs, Margaret did a series of paintings of the Amish country in Holmes County which were sold in local galleries. Three paintings Back Alley Blues, Mooney's Cottage, and Cedar Key Inn have won international awards and traveled in exhibitions in the U.S. and abroad.
In 1988 Margaret started painting her pug, Brutus and issued her first limited edition print, Couch Pug-tatoes. She now has 86 breeds and 98 prints. Her prints are available in Limited Editions, Open Editions, note cards, art cards and mouse pads.
Margaret lives in Florida and is assisted by her Sheltie, Shannon.
